This year's spring training has been interminable. I don't know why. I crave meaningful games. The 2009 season begins this evening (7:00 Central Time) with Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN2. The defending World Series champion Philadelphia Phillies host the Atlanta Braves. My only prediction for this season is that my beloved Detroit Tigers will sweep the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series. Hey, if you're going to go out on a limb, why not go all the way out? If you have a prediction, make it now. I will not approve any comments in which the New York Yankees are predicted to win the World Series (just kidding).
