Progressives are dumbfounded and dismayed that men and women make different choices. Even high-school valedictorians make different choices, depending on their sex. There has to be something sinister going on. Somebody is making these bright young women choose inferior careers! Either men are doing it (the bastards!) or society, which is run by men, is doing it. What progressives refuse to accept, because it thwarts their efforts to engineer society, is that there are biological, and hence psychological, differences between men and women. Only someone firmly in the grip of ideology could be oblivious to this fact.
