Here is the exciting finale of today's stage of the Tour of Spain. The winner of the stage, Gustavo César, hit a speed of 84 kilometers (52.1 miles) per hour on the descent near the end. It was frightening just to watch it, not least because there were cars parked alongside the road. Spanish cyclist Alejandro Valverde snatched several bonus seconds at the finish to take the overall lead from Australian Cadel Evans, who now lies second. American Tom Danielson is fourth. A few years ago, Danielson was supposed to be the next great American cyclist. He broke many of Lance Armstrong's climbing records during training. Perhaps he is finally maturing.
