  • Donald Trump's approval rating is 46%. Barack Obama's approval rating at the same point of his presidency (9 October 2011) was 42%.

  • To my friends of all political persuasions: With regard to President Donald Trump’s words while he was making an official call from the Oval Office to another country’s president seeking “dirt” on a political rival, there is a lot to consider. My primary concern involves precedent.

I ask my Republican friends to assess whether they would be comfortable with a future Democratic president making a similar call. If this is acceptable for a President Donald Trump, would it also be acceptable for a President Elizabeth Warren or President Amy Klobuchar?

To my mind, even if the House determination is not to impeach, this needs to be addressed in a “reprimand” or “censure” or “sense of the House” resolution. Opposition research seems to be an appropriate campaign staff activity. It is not to be done by the president while acting in his official presidential capacity.

Note from KBJ: Thank God for Donald Trump, Shirley. He's getting to the bottom of Joe Biden's corruption.

  • So why is someone a good or great President if they needed to Spy on someone else’s Campaign in order to win (that didn’t work out so well), and if they were unable to fill 142 important Federal Judgeships (a record by far), handing them all to me to choose. Will have 182 soon!

  • Our government has awarded contracts worth more than $812.6 million to construct 65 miles of new wall along the Rio Grande.

We’ve had the Great Wall of China to stop hordes of nomads from invading. Also Hadrian’s Wall to stop hordes of barbarians from invading. More recently, the Berlin Wall to stop hordes of East Germans from fleeing to West Germany. None worked.

Now we’re spending our money on the Great Wall of Trump to stop desperate families from seeking refuge in our country. We never learn.
