It’s both disappointing and unsurprising to read “Newseum to close” (News of the Day, Business, Oct. 4). This Washington, D.C., museum dedicated to journalism and the First Amendment surely experienced some financial problems after nearly three years of a certain Oval Office occupant trashing the media as the enemy of the people.
It also wouldn’t be surprising if our authoritarian-minded tweeter-in-chief reacts to this story by writing: “Good riddance, Fake-Newseum.”

To the editor:
Trump has always given the people he competes against or dislikes insulting names: Shifty Schiff, Sleepy Joe, Pocahontas and so on.
The people at whom he directs these names do not normally come back at Trump using this tactic. They try to use facts and not silly names against him.
But I know a name we may soon be able to use against Trump that will make him crazy: “Ex-President Trump.”
