    What I’m Reading

  • Matt Lauer is the latest public figure to be accused of sexual misconduct, fired from the network that largely relied on his draw to carry other programs.

A Republican candidate in the race for a U.S. Senate seat in Alabama faces multiple allegations of sexual predation on young girls. With the exception of the photo of Sen. Al Franken placing his hands over a sleeping woman's breasts, in each case the accusation alone was enough to bring swift action against these powerful men.

Matt Lauer, Charlie Rose and Bill O'Reilly all were fired immediately, Franken and Rep. John Conyers Jr., face ethics investigations.

Through all this, Donald Trump remains steadfast in his assertion that the 12 women who have accused him of sexual misconduct are simply "liars, every one of them." That's in spite of the tape where he is clearly heard admitting to such egregious behavior, as "grab them by the pussy. You can do anything."

Will someone please explain to me, and to the hundreds of thousands of women in this country who have been victimized by a sexual predator, why Mr. Trump is not being held to the same level of accountability?

  • I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide!
